D&D stuff

Erg! one of the people we've been playing with for ages has been cheating a lot for the last while. He's finally cottoned on that we're watching his rolls like hawks now, but those we see are generally average rolls, the ones we don't always seemed to be damn high tonight.
And I caught him cheating this game, and called him out. And it's a mistake I might see a Noob making, but he's an experienced player... it was cheating. In D&D you have class skills, and cross class skills, a character isn't as proficient with cross class skill as he is class skills(makes sense), well he was using a cross class skill as though it was a class skill, and I called him on it with his roll being too high. Bugger. I know that something needs to be said about this, but I've been friends with this guy a really long time, but I feel myself getting more distant from him over the last year. This is the same guy who a few months ago skipped out on my "surprise" 19th b-day party (which he said he was coming too) to buy clothes for a "costume required" club in the city called "Sin City," which is pretty much a BDSM club. He said something "came up," but I'm sorry, this is the age of technology, you could have fucking called, and your phone being dead isn't really an excuse either, as the people in my city are generally nice, and don't mind allowing people to use their cells for a quick local call. I love this guy to death, as I've been friends with him for a really long time, but I just don't know what to do. Something needs to be said to him about the way he's been trating this group of people whom he's been friends with for a long time (not just with me). But while I can be confrontational online, I'm not so much in RL, especially with my friends. When you're on a comp, unless you divolge truths about yourself, you're practically anonymous. Not to say that I haven't made "real" friends throught the net, I have. Some of which I've never met and still consider some of my best friends. The sort of people that if they weren't an entire ocean and continent away from me, I'd happily see all the time. But with RL friends it's different, you can't just log off when you get pissed off, and then deal with it later. So I tend to avoid confrontation. And I'm doing it now with two other friends. Not going to go into detail, but HexV knows what I'm talking about. I havne't talked to the two yet, but I really should. *sigh* Sometimes being a social animal is a real Bitch.
